Anti-gay pastor Scott Lively will stand trial in federal court for crimes against humanity. He has tried for months to have the case dismissed on First Amendment grounds, but the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston has denied his last petition for dismissal. He’s going to court.
Lively, who lives in Springfield, Massachusetts, is a 57-year-old author, attorney, pastor, and anti-gay activist. (He would call himself a “pro-family” activist.) In 1992, he helped pass America’s first anti-gay legislation, a short-lived ordinance banning any support of homosexuality in Springfield, Oregon. He then co-wrote The Pink Swastika, a book that posits homosexuals “as the true inventors of Nazism.” In 1997, he founded Abiding Truth Ministries, apparently “the first Christian organization devoted exclusively to opposing homosexuality.” For more than 20 years, he has been fighting what he perceives to be a gay agenda trying to destroy society.
With the help of the Center for Constitutional Rights, Lively is being sued by Ugandan human rights organization Sexual Minorities Uganda for violating international law by intentionally contributing to the persecution of Ugandan homosexuals and seeking to deprive LGBT members of the Ugandan population of their basic human rights.
Lively preached that homosexuals were coming into Uganda to recruit Ugandan children and that homosexuals would rip apart the very fabric of Ugandan society — the family — if they weren’t stopped. He used the United States as an example of what could happen
“They have taken over the United States, the United States government, and the European Union,” he declared. “Nobody has been able to stop them so far. I’m hoping Uganda can.” One Ugandan legislator said afterward, confirming the impact of Lively’s visit, “We must exterminate homosexuals before they exterminate society.”

On Friday, three Republican presidential candidates — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee — attended an event in Des Moines, Iowa, hosted by a controversial Colorado pastor who has frequently advocated against gay people, including that the government should put them to death.

Pastor Gordon Klingenschmitt Calls for stamping “Worthy of Death” on wedding photos of same sex couples
Anti-gay ‘Christian’ chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt is livid. The extreme conservative threw yet another temper tantrum over an August ruling by the New Mexico Supreme Court that a photography studio violated the state’s anti-discrimination law when it refused to photograph same-sex weddings.
Like many other anti-gay conservative ‘Christians,’ Klingenschmitt claimed on his Pray In Jesus Name internet program that such a ruling amounts to persecuting Christians for exercising their religious beliefs.
“Well, this is not the first place and it may not be, sadly, the last place that Christians are punished by law for exercising their religious conscience objections,” the ex-Navy chaplain said. “We do see a demonic spirit of tyranny and persecution — and anti-Christian persecution, which violates our ability to obey God.”
Citing religious freedom and freedom of the press, Klingenschmitt urged religious wedding photographers to stamp ‘worthy of death’ on all photos taken of same-sex weddings. It’s a reference to Romans 1:32, which conservative Christians interpret as meaning that gay people should be put to death. As usual, the verse doesn’t specifically say anything about homosexuals or homosexuality and conservatives are applying it to the present day rather than the context of when it was written, which was over 2,000 years ago.
“Sure you can come, you can hire us, we’ll do your wedding, but we’re going to stamp on the back of every wedding photograph the scripture from Romans 1 that tells you that it’s a sin,” Klingenschmitt declared. “We’re just exercising freedom of the press. Let’s see if they can prosecute that.”

Liberty Counsel’s Matt Barber stands up for gay persecution
A litigation organization dedicated to advancing the family says claims that conservatives and Christians are to blame for the death of a homosexual activist in Uganda are false.
Liberals and homosexuals are speaking out in response to Ugandan police reports about homosexual activist David Kato being bludgeoned to death at his home in a country where government leaders have called for the death penalty against homosexuals. According to Matt Barber, director of cultural affairs for Liberty Counsel, the news fits a pattern.
“Somewhere in the world, violence occurs, [and] liberals rush to blame conservative and Christians’ — quote — ‘incendiary rhetoric’ for the violence,” he reports. “And then later, that rhetoric is proven to be irrelevant, and the left ends up kind of playing the fool with egg all over their face.”
He says that is the case in Uganda, where police have arrested a man who lived with Kato and has confessed to murdering him for not paying for sexual favors. So Barber decides the narrative that hate and anti-homosexual rhetoric were somehow responsible for the cruel murder has crumbled around liberals.
Uganda has a history of persecuting lgbts. So why should we believe officials from the country when they claim that the brutal murder of one of these lgbts – who just happened to be speaking out against said persecution – was the possible result of a “lover’s quarrel.”
Kato had just won a huge judgment against a Ugandan tabloid which put his picture – and that of several other Ugandan lgbts – on its cover, telling readers to kill them,
Due to the homophobic climate, Kato expressed serious fears for his life,
President Obama and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton spoke out against Kato’s murder and the climate which caused it, and Lastly, please note the basic dishonesty with Barber’s claim. He makes it seem that us “liberals,” without provocation, began blaming those on his side of the spectrum for Kato’s murder. Where in the hell was Barber the past year and a half when so-called conservative Christians like Scott Lively went to Uganda and dropped that self-described “nuclear bomb” against gay rights?
So what the United Nations is actually trying to do is to eliminate persecution against lgbts in other countries.
And apparently to Barber, this persecution, which in some cases includes jail time and physical violence, embodies “traditional values.”

Scott Lively, like Staver, is identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center. as the head of a hate group , is linked to antigay laws in a number of countries around the world, particularly Africa. The Massachusetts preacher and founder of Abiding Truth Ministries is the target of a crimes against humanity lawsuit filed by the group, Sexual Minorities Uganda.
According to Staver’s firm, Liberty Counsel, Lively was using his freedom of speech as an American citizen. But as The New Civil Rights Movement reported, inciting violence is speech that is not protected by U.S. law.

Theodore Shoebat, who was among the dozens of anti-gay activists, Republican members of Congress and GOP presidential hopefuls to be featured in Janet Porter’s recent anti-gay “Light Wins” documentary, posted a new video over the weekend calling for a global “Inquisition” to eradicate homosexuality once and for all.

Earlier this week, Shoebat posted a new article on his website titled “Islam is a homosexual cult, that wants to bring the world into a homosexual pagan empire,” which featured a video in which he argued that ISIS is run by gays while asserting that a nondiscrimination ordinance recently defeated in Charlotte, North Carolina, was being pushed by “fags” who want to molest children.
Shoebat eventually turned his attention to the proposed anti-discrimination ordinance in Charlotte, which he claimed was designed to allow gay men to gain access to women’s restroom so they could molest young boys.
“According to this new bill that these fags want to pass, you will be allowed to go into the woman’s bathroom,” he said. “The homosexuals want to go into a woman’s bathroom so they can molest little boys. That’s what this is about. They want to molest children. They want to do so peeping tom stuff on women in the bathroom. They want to be perverts … The bottom line is that this is nothing but another incremental step to bring the civilized world back to pederasty [and] institutionalized pedophilia.”
Why Shoebat thinks that gay men would be seeking access the women’s restroom in order to have access to young boys and spy on women is anybody’s guess.
