The Greatest Commandment
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

1 Corinthians 13 New International Version (NIV)
13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Jesus Christ made it quite clear in his Greatest Commandments that Love is above all else
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, made it quite clear in how we are supposed to act in all things. That above all the rules, all the laws and all the commandments of the Bible? The greatest commandment, the greatest rule? Is we are supposed to love.
We are to love our God with all of your heart, all of our soul, all of our mind and all of our strength and? The second part of the greatest commandment, is just like the first, that we are supposed to love ALL OF OUR NEIGHBORS, with all of our hearts, all of our souls, all of our minds and all of our strength. There was absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to Jesus Christ greatest of commandments.
He did not say love this group of people only. He did not say you are to only love Republicans, or Democrats, or Liberals. He did not say you are only to love one color of skin of a person, whether they be a white person, a black person, a brown person, a red person. He told us all to LOVE ALL OUR NEIGHBORS, EVEN THOSE WHO ARE OUR IMMIGRANTS AND FOREIGNERS.
Jesus Christ even said? We are to love our enemies
Matthew 5: 43-48 New International Version (NIV)
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Luke 6: 27-36 New International Version (NIV)
27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Romans 12: 9-21 New International Version (NIV)
9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

Proverbs 24:17,18; 29 New International Version (NIV)
17 Do not gloat when your enemy falls;
when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice,
18 or the Lord will see and disapprove
and turn his wrath away from them.
29 Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me;
I’ll pay them back for what they did.”
Yes, we are to abhore evil, but love all, even our enemies more than we love those who love us
Jesus greatest commandments teach us? We are to love all of our neighbors, with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength and as we love ourselves. We cannot proclaim ourselves True Christians and followers of Jesus Christ, if we proclaim any kind of hate in anyway for our fellow human being. That means for any of our fellow human beings.
Yes, we are truly to hate the evil that comes from their actions, but we are not supposed to hate them. We are supposed to love them more than we are to love those whom love us back. For did not even Jesus by his example on the cross do this? Did not Jesus by his example when he was being whipped and beaten by the Romans show this by what he said about them? Remember his words.
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
So here? We even have Jesus forgiving those who tortured him, crucified him and put him to death.
And? If we proclaim ourselves followers of Jesus Christ and True Christians? Then we in fact? Should strive to hate no one, not even our enemies.
We are to show love to our brothers and sisters who are Muslims who hate us and want to put us to death. We are to show love to all our brothers and sisters who want to persecute us for what we speak and teach. We are to show love to atheists, to agnostics, to Pagans, to LGBTS, to all people, no matter what, even those whom you consider your enemy. Even abortion doctors and those women who found themselves in the position of having to obtain an abortion. Not only are we to love the fetuses and infants and children, but their mothers as well.
You cannot call yourself a follower of Jesus and a True Christian if you preach hate and death.

9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. 10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. 17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

Matthew 5: 21-26 New International Version (NIV)
